Pop and Emm
This is me, Nori (and my sweet girl Poppy, “Pop”), the face behind Pop and Emm. It has been so very nice to meet many of you through Instagram, and my Etsy shop (popandemm.etsy.com), and others in person at the Pop and Emm shop @pink.moon.boutique in Winnipeg. After retiring from my 36 year career in public education, having the privilege of teaching most elementary grades and spending 15 years as a vice principal/principal, I was drawn to pursuing one of my other passions, all things vintage. Pop and Emm was created as a means to share my collections, and to do my part in supporting our earth by recycling and reusing vintage pieces, and thus discouraging the production of more throw away items. Also, I love the quality and uniqueness of vintage products, especially clothing produced in Hong Kong almost 40 years ago, and pieces that I have found and sourced from Europe. Rustic home decor with a bohemian vibe. While building our house, we wondered what happens to all of the off-cuts when a house is built, and this was the beginning of Daisy Thirteen. Over the years, we’ve sent close to 20,000 blocks out into the world with the intention of bringing smiles to your faces, and each one has been lovingly created from salvaged wood. We’ve partnered with local construction companies to collect their off-cuts so that they don’t end up in the landfill. It takes us more time, but it’s worth it, and we are so thankful for your support.
